Moonlite nights....

Me: already enjoying the benefits of healthy eating and more physical activity after just a few days. The greatest incentive to continue.
Recent Adventures: None. Spent last Wednesday in the Hat for the branch meeting & to run some errands but I've been way more productive stuck in the house. The boy was sick this weekend although we did get out long enough to pick up the jeep (yippee) and some more hops. A visit from Tonis also perked him up a bit. The full moon was amazing.
The Farm: Snow falls, snow blows, snow does not melt. It's gonna be pretty messy when it does.
The Farm Animals: Cats dog & birds are fed and happy. Have us trained very well. The boys hit some great catnip yesterday. Made watching birds fly past the bay window extremely interesting. No windows were broken from they cats repeatedly smashing their heads in to it. Poor things still a have not slept.
Reading, watching, Listening: Everyone in the world should watch The History Boys. Everyone. I may watch it again before it goes back to the library. I finally finished the Discoverers, but also plan on to re-read it at some point. I've moved on to Medieval Lives by Cantor. Lot's of general medieval history books on the docket as I work on the class for investiture.
SCA: I'm suffering a bit a "Should have gone" angst about 12th Night. My bank book is happy I didn't go & with so much coming up I think I'll get over it fairly quickly. (congrats

rectangularcat - we have to chat about beer gardens!) I plan to start sewing something - anything - this week.
Work: I've taken a personal day. Otherwise I'd feel guilty because I know I'm gonna be pretty much useless today. No focus whatsoever. Apparently my catalogues are on the way. Once they show up I can start making appointments for travel. Until then it's a bunch of boring prep work.
Thinking On: There's a conversation on the THINKWELL mailing list about the difference between being a pelican vs. an officer. Personally I think they are very similar - that sense of responsibiltiy, the reasons for volunteering, teaching etc. Except when I was eleveted, there came a very subtle but important change in the reasons why I volunteer or why I care to continue. I'm still trying to verbalize it - frustrating. At the same, I'm trying to support or deny the arguement that the middle ages are still important to the SCA. Yes, I really must get out more often.
Upcoming: So far I only have Canmore Bookfair and Investiture planned for the end of Feb. In the immediate future though I see naps. And food, need food...
