Or not. I'm still working to fix the pumbing to the septic tank. Still cannot see where the tree roots break into the pipe. So the choices are leave the pipe in place, hope that I've cut of the roots that they will not grow and cover the gapping hole back up. OR I can try to remove the entire pipe. It's about 10 feet long 3 of which are in the tank itself and 2 going through the house foundation. More digging.

Otherwise, it was a lovely weekend: Dinner with the parents was very nice, the boy made great headway on the dugout and should be done in a few days, started to pick up the autumn leaves, a batch of wine was bottled, canned another batch of salsa, watched the blue jays win then loose.

The highlight was undoubtedly the Shoe & Tell. About 30 women and a few men gathered at the Esplanade to show off & tell stories about their favourite footware.  There were some amazing shoes. And great stories. I even talked about my cowboy boots - the first real pair of shoes I bought myself (got a second pair even when those wore out). Tim was bartending so I sat with a co-worker of his at table full of older but feisty women. It was such fun. One of the door prizes was pair of Size 8, retro, red sequined boots coveted by many, but only wearable by few. The first woman who won the draw was the wrong size so she picked the alternative prize, a book on shoes. There was great tension for the second draw which I won!! But damn!! the foot was the perfect size, but the zipper was a just a few inches short of closing. Damn my strong calves. However, there was a very deserving woman at my table that they did fit - perfectly. I exchanged them for a glass of wine. Hopefully, I can get pictures...

Not all was lost though. many may know I'm not really a shoe girl. I'm a purse girl. Thankfully the two often go together. There were many wonderful purses at the gift shop & the girl at the till gave me a discount on two new purses!! Basically amounting to buy one get one free. Now I can't decide which one to use first.
